It was this question that sparked the inception of Informed India. Informed India was born from the realization that, while India is the world's largest democracy, many citizens were often left in the dark when it came to understanding the intricacies of public policies. The Democracy Index consistently ranks India low on political culture and political participation. Our journey began as a humble endeavor to bring policies closer to the people, to bridge the gap between citizens and policymakers, and to empower every individual to be an informed, engaged, and influential stakeholder in our democracy.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
India's civic engagement has room for improvement. Recent data from the Lokniti-CSDS shows that only 48% of Indians participated in any political discussion during the last year. We want to change this by inspiring more people to get involved & voice their opinions.
YOUTH PARTICIPATION
With over 600 million young Indians, the youth often find themselves disengaged from the political process. Informed India aims to change this narrative by empowering the young generation we aim to tap into this demographic dividend and make them heard.
INFORMATION GAP
The gap in understanding public policies is evident, with a vast majority of citizens struggling to comprehend complex policy matters. A survey conducted by Informed India found that 72% of respondents felt inadequately informed about government policies.
DIGITAL DIVIDE
